Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems, ensuring high performance, uptime, and security. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams, contributing to the database architecture and supporting application performance. Responsibilities Database Management : Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases to ensure their operational efficiency. Performance Optimization : Tune database performance and execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and security. Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues or bottlenecks. Security Management : Implement security measures in line with compliance standards and best practices. Collaboration : Work with software developers to optimize queries and improve database design. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5-7 years of proven experience as a MySQL DBA or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of MySQL database management and performance tuning. Experience with database backups, recovery strategies, and security management. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell). Skills Technical : MySQL, SQL, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery, Data Security, Database Monitoring Tools. Interpersonal : Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
