Music Teacher

The Music Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive music instruction to students. This role includes teaching music theory, vocal and instrumental techniques, and fostering a love for music through creative and inclusive learning environments. The teacher will also plan performances, assess student progress, and cultivate a supportive musical culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach music theory, vocal performance, and/or instrumental skills (e.g., piano, guitar, band instruments).
• Prepare students for concerts, recitals, competitions, and school events.
• Develop lesson plans, educational materials, and assessments.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, stimulating environment.
• Maintain musical instruments and classroom equipment.
• Collaborate with staff on school programs, interdisciplinary projects, and special events.
• Encourage student creativity, confidence, and appreciation for music.
• Stay updated with current teaching practices and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field (required).
• Teaching certification or license (preferred or as required by state/institution).
• Proficiency in music theory and at least one primary instrument.
• Experience working with children or students in an educational setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to teach multiple instruments or ensemble groups.
• Experience with music technology and digital recording tools.
• Strong conducting and performance-planning abilities.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
