Reporting to the Global Directory Services Lead, the Multi-Cloud Active Directory Administrator is a senior technology leader that will function as Subject Matter Expert for Active Directory. This position will function in coordination with IT Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, Strategic partners, Technology vendors and Project management teams to facilitate the successful delivery of complex Corning initiatives and priorities
Responsibilities will include the administration of the current Corning Active Directory environments, managing aspects of Entra ID, making recommendations for design and process improvement, and automation.
As a core member of the Corning Multi-Cloud Active Directory team, the AD Administrator will be responsible for helping direct and guide the delivery of key priorities across multiple stakeholders This position will require the ability to communicate technical problems and solutions to internal IT support teams as we'll as business units around the globe.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure and manage Active Directory (AD), including both on prem and integration with Entra AD
Adhere to and implement standards, policies guidelines for Active Directory in collaboration with service line owner, information security, and technology teams
Develop, Configure, and support High Level Active Directory solutions that meet business needs and align with Corning technology standards.
Must be able to coordinate effectively with other Service Line Owners and Engineers and follow through with tasks until completion. Must be able to take instruction from Project Managers and Team Leads and work independently to complete tasks.
Help promote a consistent vision and strategy throughout the organization
Build relationships with internal team members, site leads and other IT teams to foster collaboration and partnerships to drive better strategies, priorities, and service to the customer
Understand and follow Corning Change Management processes, Incident Response Management, Problem Management and Disaster recovery Methodology
Willingly shares knowledge and experience with team members as needed to achieve excellence in team building and cohesion.
Provides escalated support for Business-Critical incidents and problems
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree or equivalent from four-year college in computer science or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ (Can we go to 7+) years of experience with on prem Active Directory System administration,
5+ years experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hosting services and Entra cloud infrastructure.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Active Directory Administration experience at an enterprise level (multiple forests and domains, trust relationships)
Active Directory Security Best Practice Implementation (e.g., tiered services, GPOs, Privileged Access Workstations, AD Health Monitoring)
Active Directory Backup / Restore Testing, Ransomware Protection
Experience with managing Entra PIM roles
Create and manage Entra Applications and has experience with SCIM configurations
Has an understanding of Conditional Access Policies

Experience engineering, building, and supporting a global active directory environment
A holistic understanding of IT infrastructure inclusive of server, storage, network, virtualization, database, DR/business recovery and continuity practices, etc
Understanding of public cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (AWS, Azure)
Demonstrated expertise driving operational improvement and excellence
