Job Description

SQL Server DBA

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances (20122022)
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans
Set up and maintain high availability solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication)
Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls
Automate maintenance tasks using SQL Server Agent and PowerShell
Troubleshoot database issues including deadlocks, blocking, and slow queries
Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and support deployments
Maintain documentation for database architecture, procedures, and policies

Required Skills

Strong expertise in
SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
and
T-SQL
Experience with
backup/restore strategies
,
recovery models
, and
maintenance plans
Familiarity with
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
and
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Knowledge of
performance tuning

indexing
, and
execution plans
Proficiency in
security management
, including roles, permissions, and auditing
Hands-on experience with
monitoring tools
like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, or third-party solutions
