MS Specialist & Transmission Expert

Job Description

Performs Fault and Configuration management activities to serve the customer directly or through customer interface, under supervision and following defined procedures. Key Responsibility Areas Job Roles And Key Responsibilities : Executes technical tasks according to defined procedures. Actively develop competences. Position description : - Excellent knowledge and understanding of telecom network and elements. - Detailed understanding of transmission topology, Microwave, fiber and IPRAN technology. - Good exposure and hands on in Marconi, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Philips muxes, Nokia,Ciena DWDMs with detailed analytical understanding of NMS. - Expert Knowledge of OTN /Ethernet and /IP technology being used in Transmission Domain. - Having exposure in remote delivery and field team interactions in troubleshooting and configuration. - Good understanding and troubleshooting exposure of TXN interfaces of Mobile Networks IuB/IuCs ,IuPS ,GB,Abis Ater in TDM and Packet Environment. - Hands-on experience on IPRAN technology and stitched network - Interaction with another cross functional domain like Radio/ Core/ IP - Understanding and knowledge of trouble tickets life cycle and successful closure of tickets to achieve SLA. - Coordination with field team till closure of faults. - Coordination with 3rd party fiber, Infra Provider and Field Team to clear alarms. - Ability to resolve remotely and guide teams on ground. - Perform Change activities as asked by customer - Understand customer requirements and act accordingly in shortest possible time. Behavioral : - Excellent written and verbal communication Skills in English. - Strong interpersonal skills ability to influence and motivate. - Good Documentation Skills, able create, review and update technical data in database. - Good Presentation Skills. - 24X7 availability for team and client. - Should be able to work during off hours as required. - Ability to grasp new technologies quickly. - Should be able to coordinate and motivate team General Abilities : - Excellent working familiarity with NMS tools, Ticketing tools. - A Self-starter must be productive with minimal direction - Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment - Good presentation and communication skills. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE : - B- E/B tech. from any reputed university. - 4-8 years experience in relevant field (L2 Expert).
