· Administers the Medical Records Services program to meet necessary accrediting and research standards. · Directs the management of systems, procedures and standards for accurate processing, analysis, compilation and diagnostic classification of disease. · Devises and implements new systems of medical records maintenance and management. · Assist in the development of Hospital policies and procedures as they relate to medical records. · Develops orientation and staff development programs and keeps staff aware of job changes and technical advancements. · Reviews space allocation and ensures most efficient use of space and equipment. · Implements and monitors all safety procedures. · Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the medical record department. · Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to medical records department policies and procedures. Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skill and abilities.
