Job Description

Basic qualification: 5 to 7 years of dedicated experience as an MQ Administrator Strong working knowledge of IBM MQ v8.x/v9.x Strong understanding of IBM MQ architecture, clustering, and high-availability setup Proficiency in scripting for automation Solid understanding of messaging protocols(MQTT, AMQP) and formats(JSON, XML) Technical Skills: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ) on Linux, AIX, and Windows platforms. Administer and manage MQ objects (queues, topics, channels, listeners) Implement and manage MQ security including SSL/TLS, user access control, and auditing Monitor and troubleshoot MQ issues, ensuring high availability and performance Plan and perform MQ version upgrades, patches, and migrations Roles and Responsibilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Team player with the ability to work independently Experience with MQ security configuration Familiarity with MQ monitoring tools Support MQ clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery configurations Create automation scripts using Shell, Bash, or Python Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams Maintain technical documentation and compliance standards Participate in incident response and on-call support rotations
