MQ Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration:

  Install, configure, and upgrade MQ queue managers and related software components.

• Monitoring & Maintenance:

  Continuously monitor MQ queues and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.

• Incident Management:

  Provide support for MQ-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.

• Infrastructure Support:

  Assist in deploying MQ application infrastructures in production with minimal risk.

• Documentation:

  Maintain and develop operational documentation, including configuration records and troubleshooting guides.

• Technical Design & Advisory:

  Offer guidance on MQ features during application design and contribute to technical design processes.

• Compliance & Standards:

  Ensure applications and configurations align with MQ standards and organizational policies.

• Testing & Development:

  Develop infrastructure capabilities for new projects and support testing environments.

• Training & Collaboration:

  Educate team members on MQ technologies and collaborate with external vendors and internal teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in MQ administration.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
