Job Summary:The MQ Administrator AS400 is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM MQ on AS400 systems. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of the messaging infrastructure, supporting business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ on AS400 systems. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of MQ services. Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MQ and AS400 environments. Implement security measures to protect MQ data and communications. Collaborate with application developers to optimize MQ usage. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Stay updated with the latest MQ and AS400 technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MQ administration and AS400 systems. Skills:Proficiency in IBM MQ administration. Strong knowledge of AS400 system administration. Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning. Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
