Job Summary:

A Mother Teacher is responsible for handling all-round development of students in the foundational or primary years (usually for Pre-Nursery to Grade 2). This role emphasizes nurturing, emotional bonding, and continuity in learning by having one teacher manage most subjects for a single class throughout the day. The Mother Teacher serves as a caregiver, educator, and role model, creating a positive, secure, and enriching environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach multiple subjects (e.g., English, Math, EVS) to the same group of students throughout the academic year.
• Foster a warm and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities that cater to the developmental needs of young children.
• Monitor and track individual student progress, providing personalized attention as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with parents through regular meetings, updates, and reports.
• Work closely with co-teachers, aides, and school management to ensure curriculum continuity and quality.
• Manage classroom behavior with empathy and age-appropriate strategies.
• Organize class events, activities, and celebrations to enhance student engagement.
• Create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom space that encourages curiosity and learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school-wide events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed or equivalent); Diploma in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Prior experience as a primary or pre-primary teacher; experience in the Mother Teacher concept is a plus
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning pedagogy
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
• Warm, patient, and empathetic nature with a passion for working with young children

Work Environment:

• Full-time, Monday to Saturday schedule
• Active classroom setting requiring energy, creativity, and consistent engagement with children

· Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation available for outstation candidate.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
