MoRM Risk and Capital, Associate

Role Overview: You will be working as an Associate in the Model Risk Management (MoRM) team at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, India. Your main responsibility will be to validate various portfolio models including Credit Risk, Business Risk, Operational Risk, and Risk Type Diversification. The team is responsible for independent model validation, monitoring, and controlling model risk. Key Responsibilities: - Independently validate business and infrastructure models, primarily focusing on AFC models, and discuss validation results with stakeholders - Analyze mathematical methods, verify model adequacy and implementation, and act as a contact person for methodology aspects of covered models - Prepare impact studies and presentations for governance committees - Review and assess analyses and changes made by developers to address validation issues - Present validation results to external supervisors - Actively manage model risk by ensuring adherence to model documentation standards Qualifications Required: - Academic degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Econometrics, or a similar discipline - Ability to explain mathematical concepts in simple terms - 2-4 years of professional experience in Credit risk and Anti-Financial-Crime Risk model development or validation - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, SQL, and experience in Machine Learning - IT proficiency, especially in MS Office, data analysis, evaluation, and understanding of IT processes - Knowledge of Monte Carlos methods and modeling/validation of portfolio models - Experience in risk management is a plus - Business fluent written and verbal skills in English; German language skills are advantageous Additional Company Details: Deutsche Bank promotes a culture of continuous learning, offering training, development, coaching, and support to help employees excel in their careers.
