Job Description

As a Mopar Service & Parts Development Engineer, your role involves being responsible for Exterior/Interior service parts engineering. You should have knowledge about Glass and windshield components and a good understanding of the APQP process. Your key responsibilities include: - Preparing Feasibility Review, Technical review, and process documents for review - Releasing Source Packages based on the Product requirement - Developing DVP requirements for service parts - Planning, coordinating, and executing technical reviews with potential suppliers for new products - Tracking project status and providing updates to management - Coordinating across cross-functional teams/suppliers for smooth workflow - Initiating Engineering changes and tracking them till implementation - Documenting all projects relevant to Engineering approvals and documents - Creating Best Practices as required to establish a robust process and ensure product quality Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering Essential Skills: - Experience in product development and manufacturing processes - Design and Functional Integration analysis - Intermediate Skill set in NX - Good Knowledge in GD&T concepts & Change Management - Vehicle Exteriors and Interiors knowledge - Component level & system level testing knowledge Desired Skills: - Experience in Exterior & Interior parts development and plastic polymers Additionally, you should have 3 to 6 years of experience in Product development for the automobile industry.,
