Key responsibilities

• Customization and development

  : Customize Moodle themes and develop plugins to extend functionality based on specific needs.

• Integration

  : Integrate Moodle with third-party applications, systems, and websites using APIs, and implement Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Maintenance and support

  : Install, configure, and maintain the Moodle learning management system (LMS), provide technical support, and troubleshoot issues.

• Performance and security

  : Optimize the Moodle platform for performance, security, and scalability, and perform regular updates.

• Collaboration

  : Work with stakeholders, instructional designers, and other team members to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.

• Reporting

  : Develop custom reports and dashboards within Moodle.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education

  : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Programming languages

  : Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and HTML5/CSS3.

• Moodle expertise

  : Experience with the Moodle development framework, APIs, and plugin development.

• Databases

  : Experience with MySQL is often required.

• Web services

  : Experience with RESTful web services and JSON for integrations.

• Version control

  : Proficiency with version control systems like Bitbucket or Git.
