Moodle Developer

Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Moodle LMS Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and integrating Moodle-based learning platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP frameworks , AI plugin integration , and relational database management systems . Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit are essential. Key Responsibilities: Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle LMS platforms to meet business requirements. Integrate AI-powered plugins and features to enhance user experience and learning outcomes. Implement and optimize third-party plugins and custom modules. Work with PHP-based frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, etc.) to support backend logic and integrations. Design and manage robust database schemas and perform performance tuning (MySQL/PostgreSQL). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including instructional designers, product managers, and QA. Troubleshoot issues, conduct code reviews, and maintain documentation for all developments. Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the LMS platform. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Moodle LMS development and customization. Proficiency in PHP and experience with popular PHP frameworks. Strong knowledge of AI integration tools and plugin implementation within Moodle. In-depth understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL and efficient database design. Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX . Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Moodle Mobile and Moodle APIs. Knowledge of cloud hosting (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
