Mold & Robot setting Supervisor

Key Accountabilities

Mold & Robotics Operations

• Execute end-to-end mold setup, changeover, and fine-tuning on injection molding machines.
  
• Configure, program, and optimize robotic pick-and-place systems to replace manual handling.
  
• Conduct mold and robotic trials to validate fitment, functionality, and process capability.
  
• Lead injection molding process revalidation, including CT optimization and revision.
  

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

• Diagnose and resolve mold-related, robotic, and process deviations with minimal downtime.
  
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve process stability and throughput.
  
• Proactively identify automation and productivity improvement opportunities.
  

Team & Resource Management

• Lead and guide the mold setter team to achieve daily loading/unloading and production targets.
  
• Ensure optimal utilization of machines, robots, molds, assets, and critical spares.
  
• Build operator capability through on-the-job guidance and best-practice deployment.
  

Quality, Safety & Documentation

• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and process control standards.
  
• Maintain accurate records of mold setup parameters, robotic programs, trials, and production data.
  
• Support audits, internal reviews, and quality validations as required.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• In-depth knowledge of injection molds: design basics, setup, and troubleshooting.
  
• Strong working knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  
• Proven experience in robotic pick-and-place systems and automation integration.
  
• Expertise in process validation, cycle time optimization, and revalidation methodologies

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding operations with strong exposure to robotic automation systems.
