Pattern Shop Supervise and manage all activities related to the pattern shop, including wood, metal, and plastic pattern making. Review and interpret technical drawings, foundry process requirements, and product specifications to guide pattern development. Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure pattern accuracy and readiness for casting. Maintain pattern inventory, ensuring proper tagging, storage, and documentation. Plan and schedule pattern repairs, modifications, and new pattern developments. Monitor the performance of pattern shop personnel and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Optimize the pattern-making process to reduce lead time and improve casting quality. 2. Mould & Core Assist in preparing and maintaining moulds and cores for casting processes. Support the moulding team in cleaning and preparing the moulding equipment. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of moulds and cores for casting. Monitor core-making processes and ensure quality standards are met. Report any defects or issues with moulds and cores to senior staff. 3. Melting Shop Assist in the operation of melting furnaces to produce molten metal. Monitor furnace conditions to maintain proper temperature and composition. Ensure proper material handling for metal scrap, alloys, and other inputs. Help with the maintenance of melting equipment and report any issues. Assist in casting metal into moulds for the next stage of production. 4. Maintenance Assist in routine maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment and systems. Support preventive maintenance tasks , such as lubricating machines, cleaning, and replacing worn parts. Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities or breakdowns. Help with the installation and calibration of new machines or systems. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and spare parts. Assist senior technicians in conducting regular inspections of equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during maintenance activities.
