Job Description

Lead and manage metallurgical lab operations across all testing and analytical activities.
Oversee metallurgical investigations, material characterization, and failure analysis.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IS, ASTM, AWS, etc.) and customer specifications.
Develop and implement metallurgical testing procedures for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Supervise heat treatment, hardness, microstructure, and weld testing processes.
Maintain calibration and upkeep of all lab equipment and instruments.
Review and approve metallurgical test reports and certificates.
Coordinate with production, design, and quality teams for process improvements.
Drive root cause analysis for metallurgical issues and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental management systems (ISO/ NABL).
Train and mentor lab engineers and technicians.
