Job Title: Middle School Physics Facilitator Department: Science (Middle School) Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Head of Science Location: [Insert School Name & Location] Job Purpose: To facilitate engaging, concept-driven learning in Physics for middle school students, laying a strong foundation in scientific thinking, inquiry, and real-world applications in alignment with the school’s educational philosophy and curriculum standards. Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Learning: Deliver Physics lessons for Grades 6 to 8 using activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven approaches. Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity. Integrate technology and hands-on experiments to enhance conceptual understanding. Use differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Encourage scientific temperament and a growth mindset in the classroom. Curriculum Planning & Assessment: Design and implement units aligned with CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE/IB frameworks (as applicable). Prepare worksheets, lab activities, and assessments that reflect learning objectives. Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate records of student performance and support academic interventions when required. Laboratory Work & Experiments: Conduct and supervise Physics lab activities and ensure adherence to safety standards. Encourage students to participate in science exhibitions, projects, and competitions. Collaborate with the school lab assistant to manage materials and equipment effectively. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other science and interdisciplinary faculty for integrated teaching. Actively participate in subject meetings, planning sessions, and professional development. Maintain regular communication with parents on student progress and areas of concern. Student Engagement Beyond the Classroom: Mentor students in science clubs, Olympiads, and other enrichment programs. Organize field visits, guest lectures, or virtual tours related to Physics concepts. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physics or Physical Science with a B.Ed. (mandatory) 2–5 years of teaching experience in middle school science/Physics Familiarity with the CBSE/ICSE or international curriculum (IB MYP/IGCSE) is preferred Proficient in integrating ICT tools and digital resources into teaching Skills & Attributes: Strong subject knowledge and passion for Physics Excellent communication and classroom management skills Inquiry-based and learner-centered teaching style Adaptable, creative, and collaborative mindset Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
