Microsoft Fabric Developer (Power BI Specialist)

Role Summary

The client is looking for experienced resources who can do heavy lifting and deliver Fabric implementation in an offshore model. Because offshore roles have fewer touchpoints and some requirements can get lost in communication compared to onsite roles, we need experts who can independently drive delivery and ensure successful Microsoft Fabric implementation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Microsoft Fabric implementation end-to-end in an offshore model, doing heavy lifting with minimal supervision.
• Build Fabric solutions from scratch.
• Work on data lake and data warehouse development and delivery.
• Develop and manage ingestion / orchestration using ADF.
• Implement and work with Synapse and Fabric warehouse/lakehouse components.
• Build and maintain layered data architecture: bronze, silver, gold.
• Implement realtime / streaming data pipelines in Fabric.
• Work with OneLake, including mirroring capabilities.
• Use notebooks, Spark, and Databricks for transformations and processing.
• Build facts and dimensions and deliver star and snowflake schema models.
• Create datamart structures for consumption.
• Deliver Power BI reporting on top of Fabric / warehouse / lake layers.

Skills

• Strong experience with data lake and warehouse projects (any tech).
• Hands-on with Microsoft ecosystem: ADF, Synapse, Fabric, SQL Server, SQL, OneLake, ADLS.
• Fabric expertise in: building from scratch, OneLake, mirroring, streaming, Delta Lake, bronze/silver/gold layers.
• Data modeling: facts and dimensions, star schema, snowflake schema.
• Engineering tools: notebooks, Spark, Databricks.
• BI/Reporting: Power BI, datamart development, realtime reporting enablement.
