Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, finished products, and environmental samples.
Perform routine tests such as microbial limit testing, sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and microbial identification.
Prepare and maintain microbiological media, reagents, and cultures.
Monitor environmental conditions of cleanrooms and production areas (e.g., air, surface, personnel monitoring).
Maintain proper documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments like autoclaves, incubators, laminar flow hoods, etc.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results or contamination issues and assist in root cause analysis.
Support validation activities (e.g., water system validation, disinfectant efficacy studies).
Follow all safety and hygiene protocols during sample handling and testing.
Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance processes.

Requirements:

Education:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
Experience:
13 years of relevant experience in microbiological testing (pharmaceutical, food, or healthcare preferred).
Skills:

Strong knowledge of microbial techniques and aseptic practices.
Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, NABL, FSSAI, etc.).
Proficient in documentation and report writing.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, LIMS preferred).
Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
