Mern Stack Developer

We are looking for a skilled backend developer with strong experience in Node.js, GraphQL, Sequelize, and AWS to join our Equinox engineering team. You will work on high-traffic federated GraphQL microservices that power Equinox mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Node.js + GraphQL microservices (Apollo Server / Federation).

• Build Sequelize models, migrations, relations; optimize Postgres queries.

• Implement caching using Redis, dataloaders for performance.

• Integrate with internal APIs and other subgraph services.

• Work with AWS basics: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM.

• Debug production issues using Elastic APM, Grafana, CloudWatch.

• Work with LaunchDarkly flags, GitLab pipelines, Docker, and ECS deployments.

• Collaborate in Agile sprints with onsite/offshore teams.

Required Skills

• 38 years experience in Node.js, Express, and GraphQL, Apollo Federation.

• Strong in Sequelize ORM and Postgres.

• Good understanding of caching, API design, and microservices.

• AWS knowledge (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch).

• Experience with Git, Docker, code reviews, unit tests.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Contentful/CMS, Redis, LaunchDarkl, Docker and React.js
