Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Buyer Communication & Relationship Management: Serve as the main liaison between international/local buyers and the manufacturing facility. Communicate order status, clarify requirements, and address any issues promptly.
  • Product Development & Sampling: Receive buyer specifications and design packs. Coordinate with the design and sampling departments to develop samples (e.g., lab dips, print strike-offs) for buyer approval, managing feedback and revisions.
  • Costing & Negotiation: Prepare detailed cost sheets, negotiate pricing with buyers and raw material suppliers (yarn, fabric, inks, specific label materials), and work to maximize profitability.
  • Sourcing & Inventory Management: Source and procure necessary raw materials, trims, and accessories. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production while preventing overstock situations.
  • Order Planning & Execution: Prepare and issue internal order sheets and purchase orders (POs) to relevant departments and suppliers. Create and maintain a Time and Action (TNA) calendar to schedule and track all critical stages of production.
  • Production Monitoring & Quality Control: Constantly monitor the production process to ensure it adheres to buyer specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with the quality control team for in-process and final inspections.
  • Logistics & Documentation: Coordinate with the packing and shipping departments to ensure orders are packed correctly and shipped on time. Oversee necessary documentation and banking formalities for smooth export.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new label technologies to provide input for product innovation and pricing strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in merchandising within the textile, garment, or trims/accessories industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of textile materials, label production processes (weaving, printing, finishing), and quality control procedures.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for costing and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external correspondence.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
