Role Overview

The Merchandiser will be responsible for driving the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring the right product is available at the right place, time, and price. The role involves strong coordination with Design, Production, Planning, Buying, and Retail teams to achieve business objectives related to sales, inventory, and margin.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Design and Planning teams to finalize the range plan each season.
• Develop product line sheets with detailed costing, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure timely sample development, approvals, and bulk production coordination.
• Analyze sales, stock, and performance reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Manage allocation, replenishment, and product availability across channels.
• Monitor product lifecycle to ensure optimum inventory turns and minimal mark-downs.
• Coordinate with vendors and production units to ensure timely dispatches.
• Support category reviews and business meetings with data-backed insights.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Design, Production, and Retail functions.

• Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and data interpretation.
• Commercial acumen with an eye for fashion and trends.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, or Business Management.
• 38 years of relevant experience in merchandising (preferably in fashion/apparel retail).
• Experience in managing seasonal ranges, production follow-ups, and vendor coordination.
