Job Purpose
As the MEP Engineer for the industrial building project, you will lead the design, coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems to support the buildings operational requirements. You will ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, support integration with civil/structural works and contribute to achieving project timelines, budget and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of MEP systems for the industrial facility: HVAC, electrical distribution (LT/HT), lighting, power, emergency power/UPS, fire-fighting & suppression systems, plumbing (cold/hot water, drainage), compressed air/pneumatic systems if applicable, and other ancillary services. alqudrahgroup.com+2Indeed+2
- Develop and review calculations (load, cable sizing, duct sizing, pump head, pressure drops, short-circuit, etc.) and prepare equipment schedules, single line diagrams (SLDs), GA layouts, riser diagrams and bills of materials (BOQ). ConstructionPlacements+2Interview Questions+2
- Prepare technical specifications, material submittals, shop drawings, and coordinate submission/approval with consultants, vendors and contractors. SmartRecruiters+1
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural and civil works to ensure there are no conflicts, proper service corridors/shafts are planned, and maintenance access/clearances are provided. ConstructionPlacements+1
- Oversee site works for MEP installation: monitor progress, inspect quality, resolve technical issues, ensure compliance to design and standards, and supervise contractors/sub-contractors. Interview Questions
- Support testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems: witness tests, prepare commissioning reports, ensure documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, asset tags) are completed. ConstructionPlacements+1

- Conduct site safety checks, ensure installation practices meet health, safety and environmental standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum
5-10 years
of MEP engineering experience (for industrial or large building projects) – the specific number may vary depending on seniority. - Proven experience in industrial building or manufacturing facility MEP works (rather than only commercial/residential) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practice, MEP systems design, installation, commissioning.
- Proficiency in design software & tools: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, as well as Microsoft Office. ConstructionPlacements+1

- Familiarity with local Indian codes/standards (IS/BIS/NBC) and international best practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines and with external stakeholders.

- Ability to work at site, travel as required, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
