Job Description for MEP Engineer We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HAVC and firework systems in our projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of MEP design, installation, and maintenance, with the ability to work collaboratively with architects, construction teams, and contractors. Key Responsibilities: Design and Planning: Develop and review detailed designs and layouts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ensure designs comply with project specifications, building codes, safety standards, and sustainability goals. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design. Project Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and site teams to oversee the installation of MEP systems. Monitor progress to ensure timelines and project schedules are met. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure MEP works are executed according to design, standards, and quality. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Provide accurate estimates for MEP systems, materials, and labour costs. Monitor budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost control measures are in place. Technical Expertise: Ensure all MEP systems are energy-efficient, sustainable, and comply with the latest technological advancements. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during the project lifecycle. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare detailed reports, technical submittals, and documentation for MEP projects. Ensure that all MEP works comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards. Maintenance and Support: Provide post-construction support for maintenance and operational aspects of MEP systems. Train and guide facility management teams on proper usage and maintenance procedures. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in construction projects (7+ years preferred). In-depth knowledge of MEP design principles, materials, and construction methods. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools. Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects. Preferred Skills: Experience in sustainable building practices and energy efficiency. Knowledge of the latest MEP trends and innovations.
