Mep Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Planning

• Review MEP design drawings and ensure compatibility with Mivan shuttering and structural layouts.
• Coordinate with design consultants for service layouts, sleeve locations, and embedment requirements before shuttering work.
• Prepare MEP coordination drawings, builders work drawings, and sleeve layouts for each floor cycle.
• Validate design parameters for HVAC, electrical load, fire-fighting, plumbing, drainage, and low-voltage systems.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents for MEP works.

Project Execution

• Supervise and monitor on-site installation of all MEP services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ELV, etc.) as per approved drawings.
• Ensure proper placement of conduits, sleeves, and inserts before Mivan shuttering and concrete pouring.
• Coordinate with civil and formwork teams to ensure MEP works do not impact the slab cycle timelines.
• Monitor contractors’ progress, manpower deployment, and material utilization.
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Coordination & Communication

• Lead weekly MEP coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Resolve technical clashes between MEP, architectural, and structural elements through coordination drawings (preferably using BIM or Revit MEP).
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Liaise with utility authorities (electricity board, water supply, fire department, etc.) for statutory approvals and connections.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure closure prior to project handover.
• Support in preparing as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with facility management teams for smooth transition to operation phase.
