MEP Engineer

Job Purpose:

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee day-to-day operation and preventive/corrective maintenance of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and related MEP systems.
• Ensure 100% uptime of critical services (chillers, DG sets, UPS, transformers, STP/WTP, elevators, etc.).
• Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and local regulations.

• Projects & Upgrades

• Plan and execute new MEP projects, retrofits, and system upgrades within budget and timelines.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors for project implementation.
• Prepare technical specifications, review drawings, BOQs, and ensure quality assurance in execution

• Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and service staff.
• Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and build strong coordination between HVAC, electrical, and plumbing teams.
• Conduct regular training programs for technical staff.

• Budgeting & Reporting

• Prepare O&M budgets, project cost estimates, and track expenses.
• Generate MIS reports, energy consumption reports, and maintenance dashboards for management review.
• Propose cost-optimization initiatives without compromising service quality.

• Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key point of contact for tenants, clients, and management for MEP-related matters.
• Handle escalations promptly and ensure high client satisfaction.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical expertise in

  HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Systems

  .
• Knowledge of

  building automation systems (BMS)

  and energy management.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management abilities.
• Familiarity with

  local codes, safety standards, and statutory compliances

  .

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  (preferred).
• Minimum

  12 to 18 years of experience

  in MEP operations and project management, preferably in IT parks, commercial complexes, or large infrastructure facilities.
• Proven experience in handling

  large-scale MEP operations and leading multidisciplinary teams

  .
