MEP Engineer

As an MEP Engineer, you will be a vital member of the project management team and report directly to the Project Director. Your primary responsibilities will include managing multiple MEP projects, ensuring smooth transitions from design to delivery, and utilizing project management tools such as AutoCAD and word processing software to develop MEP plans. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for various systems including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation. Additionally, overseeing the project management team to ensure adherence to project schedules, coordinating on-site activities with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers are crucial aspects of your role. Providing installation, maintenance, and technical guidance on MEP systems to service providers, supervisors, and inspectors will be part of your daily tasks. Inspecting and resolving engineering issues related to MEP features, evaluating the work of contractors and construction professionals, as well as reviewing contractor drawings for compliance with MEP design plans will be key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will make technical clarifications to address coordination issues and design modifications for on-site construction needs. Monitoring on-site health and safety policies, conducting off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials to ensure regulatory compliance and project suitability are also essential duties. This position requires a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for candidates having at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
