Job Description

Job Summary:

MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

MEP Design & Coordination:

Review and approve MEP drawings, designs, and specifications.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to ensure MEP systems are integrated effectively.
Resolve technical issues related to HVAC, electrical systems, fire-fighting, and plumbing.

Project Execution & Supervision:

Supervise installation of MEP systems at site as per approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Ensure implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable MEP practices.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

Evaluate MEP contractors and vendors for execution capability and compliance.
Ensure timely procurement of MEP materials in line with BOQ and project needs.
Verify contractor bills and monitor work progress vs. cost incurred.

Compliance & Quality:

Ensure MEP works are executed in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Conduct inspections and testing of systems (HVAC, fire systems, water systems, etc.) prior to handover.
Maintain quality documentation and update project records.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of MEP systems in high-rise, residential, and commercial real estate projects
Excellent understanding of technical drawings and construction site execution
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project/Primavera
Knowledge of NBC, ECBC, and local compliance standards
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
