Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced MEP Draftsman / Draughtsman to join our India office in Cochin, Kerala. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating accurate and detailed MEP drawings, with prior experience in the UAE being highly preferred. This role requires close coordination with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality design documentation aligned with project requirements and regional standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare coordinated and detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools. Interpret engineering sketches and specifications to develop accurate shop drawings and layout plans. Work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting system drawings in compliance with project and code requirements. Coordinate with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, etc.) to avoid clashes and ensure integration of MEP systems. Update and revise drawings based on client or engineer feedback and project changes. Ensure all MEP drawings meet UAE codes and municipality standards where applicable. Assist the design team in preparing technical submittals and construction documents. Maintain an organized and up-to-date library of drawings and records. Qualifications and Requirements: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Drafting. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP drafting in a consulting or contracting environment. UAE experience is highly preferred ; strong knowledge of UAE standards (DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, Civil Defence, etc.) is a significant advantage. Proficient in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, or BIM tools is a plus. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes. Ability to interpret and produce detailed MEP shop drawings independently. Excellent communication and coordination skills. High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
