Mep Design Engineer

DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in accordance with project requirements.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and codes.
• Providing technical support and guidance throughout the construction process.
• Performing calculations and simulations to ensure system efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving project plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Preparing documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in MEP design or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Fire Safety Design:

• Design and specify structural components for fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire hydrants), fire alarm systems (e.g., smoke detectors, alarm panels), and fire-rated enclosures for electrical and mechanical equipment.

• CCTV and Access Control:

• Design and specify structural components for CCTV cameras, access control systems, and associated equipment, ensuring they are properly installed and supported.

• HVAC Design:

• Design structural supports for HVAC equipment and ductwork, considering factors like vibration, weight, and seismic loads.
