Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Azure Data Engineer

to join our data engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data platforms on Azure using modern tools and services including

Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Python notebooks, Azure Functions

, and

Data Warehouses

. Your focus will be on building scalable, reliable, and secure data workflows that empower analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

and

Microsoft Fabric

.
Implement data integration from diverse sources into centralized

data warehouses or lakehouses

(e.g., Fabric OneLake, Synapse).
Build and operationalize

Python notebooks

for data transformation, enrichment, and machine learning preparation.
Develop and deploy

Azure Function Apps

for lightweight compute tasks, API integration, or orchestration.
Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trustworthy data models.
Implement best practices in

data governance, security, version control, and CI/CD

for data pipelines.
Monitor pipeline performance and ensure high availability and reliability of data services.
Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous improvement of the data platform.

Required Skills & Experience:

3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with strong Azure expertise.
Proficiency in:

Microsoft Fabric

(Data pipelines, Lakehouse, shortcuts, etc.)

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Python notebooks

(in Synapse, Fabric, or Azure ML)

Azure Functions / Function Apps

Data Warehousing concepts

and tools (e.g., Synapse SQL, Snowflake, Fabric DWH)

Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and modeling.

Good understanding of modern data architectures: medallion architecture, Lakehouse, and data mesh principles.
