As an experienced Software Engineer on the Fusion team, you will push the boundaries of what's possible in distributed storage systems. You'll architect, implement, and optimize core services that span on-premises arrays and cloud deploymentsdelivering seamless storage experiences to enterprises around the globe. If you thrive on solving hard problems, influencing technical direction, and driving innovation end-to-end, this is the role for you.
What YOU'LL NEED TO BRING FOR THIS ROLE
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available services that power Fusion's control plane and data services across hybrid deployments.
- Invent and optimize algorithms to orchestrate multi-array and multi-cloud storage systems, achieving industry-leading resiliency and performance.
- Collaborate with world-class engineers in Silicon Valley, Prague, and Bengaluru to deliver features that delight customers and transform how they manage data.
- Drive technical strategy by influencing architecture, system design, and best practices across teams.
- Solve complex distributed systems challenges with creativity, persistence, and deep technical insight.
- Own features from concept to production, ensuring observability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers, champion code quality, and foster a culture of innovation and technical rigor.
Minimum Qualifications (education & Experience)
- 15+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems software.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, or C++ (experience in multiple languages a strong plus).
- Background in one or more of the following: distributed systems, networking, data protection, operating systems, container orchestration, or cloud-native services.
- Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work in-person in an open office environment.
