Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder specializing in emergency management for outpatient services. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding and a solid understanding of emergency preparedness in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate medical coding for outpatient services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Assist in the management of emergency preparedness and response plans for the healthcare facility.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation and coding of patient records.
Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure coding accuracy and adherence to policies.
Provide training and support to new staff on medical coding procedures and emergency management protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field.
Certification in medical coding (such as CPC, CCS, or CCA) is preferred.
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards in India.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate coding and documentation.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and for training purposes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
