Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in medical transcription and editing, with excellent knowledge of medical terminology and transcription guidelines.

Roles and Responsibility

Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical records, including patient histories and physicals.
Edit and proofread transcripts for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality output and meet productivity standards.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in medical transcription and editing.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance transcription accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Excellent listening and typing skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Proficient in using transcription software and equipment, such as foot pedals and headsets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with medical records management systems and electronic health records (EHRs).
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
