The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for listening to voice recordings made by healthcare professionals and accurately transcribing them into written medical documents, reports, and correspondence while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare standards. --- Key Responsibilities Listen to and transcribe dictated recordings from physicians and healthcare providers into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct medical reports. Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software, ensuring accuracy of medical terminology, abbreviations, and formatting. Ensure patient information and records are maintained with strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies. Verify accuracy of patient details such as names, medical record numbers, and diagnoses. Collaborate with doctors and healthcare staff to clarify discrepancies or unclear dictations. Maintain turnaround time requirements for transcription tasks. Keep updated with medical terminology, treatments, procedures, and drug names. Assist in maintaining and organizing medical records for smooth hospital
