Medical Coding Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

• Train and Guide Students:

  Deliver engaging and informative training sessions focused on the CPC exam curriculum, covering all aspects of medical coding.

• Exam Success:

  Ensure that students have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pass the CPC exam on their first attempt. Provide additional support, feedback, and resources as needed to help students succeed.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, and implement improvements to the training program based on feedback and outcomes.

• Stay Current:

  Keep up to date with the latest coding updates, certifications, and industry trends to ensure our training program remains relevant and effective.

Requirements:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC):

  Must hold an active CPC certification from AAPC or AHIMA.

• Experience:

  Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on coding for different specialties (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).

• Teaching Experience:

  Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or training adult learners in a professional setting is highly preferred.

• Strong Communication Skills:

  Ability to explain complex topics in a clear, engaging, and approachable manner.

• Commitment to Student Success:

  A genuine desire to see students succeed in their professional careers and pass their CPC exam.

• Tech-Savvy:

  Proficient with online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and other digital teaching resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in CPC trainer/
