Media Production Specialist

Role Overview: As a media production specialist at Athena Education, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production process for the media lab. Your role will involve overseeing pre-production setup, videography, editing, and content repurposing to create engaging long-form and short-form content. You will play a crucial role in driving audience interaction through strong CTAs and L-banners, while ensuring high audio and visual quality in all assets developed by the media lab. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the production process end-to-end, including pre-production setup, videography, and post-production editing. - Operate and manage a 3-channel camera setup with condenser mics and lighting for long-form podcast-style content production. - Create, edit, and release short-form content for YouTube shorts and Instagram reels. - Break down long-form episodes into a minimum of ten distinct assets for omnichannel distribution. - Edit footage based on treatment notes and incorporate strong CTAs and L-banners to enhance audience interaction. - Oversee technical aspects of filming, including multi-camera setups, diffusion lighting, and high-quality audio recording. Qualifications and Skills: - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in video production and editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing long-form interview content and engaging short-form social videos. - Expert-level knowledge of professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve) and motion graphics. - Experience with multi-camera and podcast setups, along with familiarity with streaming software like OBS. - Strong sense of narrative, pacing, and visual storytelling with attention to detail. - Deep understanding of video content performance on various platforms like YouTube and Instagram. - Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines. - Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work effectively with the team.
