As a Media Associate for the Andhra team at Varahe Analytics, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing media trends across the state. Your responsibilities will include tracking narrative shifts, creating strategic reports, and supporting campaign decisions. Working closely with internal teams and client stakeholders, you will ensure that real-time media intelligence informs on-ground strategy. Your main tasks will involve tracking and analyzing regional and national news coverage across various media platforms related to Andhra, such as print, digital, television, and social media. By assessing media narratives and trends, you will be able to evaluate public sentiment, identify risks, and highlight opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for drafting media monitoring reports, briefs, and summaries tailored for strategic campaign use. Your insights into media narratives, political developments, and influential voices will support campaign teams in aligning messaging with public perception. Maintaining an archive of critical media mentions and reports will also be part of your role for quick reference and trend analysis. To excel in this position, you should hold a graduate degree in any discipline, with a background in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or Political Science being preferred. Proficiency in the Telugu language (read, write, speak) is a mandatory requirement. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret media content and summarize insights effectively. An awareness of Andhra's political, social, and cultural ecosystem is crucial, and you should be able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with social media platforms, digital news tools, and prior exposure to political consulting or electoral campaigns will be advantageous. Skills in media sentiment analysis or narrative tracking tools are also desirable.
