As a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in GAD (General Arrangement Drawings) and mechanical systems of elevators, your role will involve reviewing, correcting, and coordinating mechanical drawings, ensuring quality installation through hands-on mechanical understanding and technical observation. Key Responsibilities: - Study and verify elevator GADs and mechanical layouts before execution. - Identify and correct errors, mismatches, or feasibility issues in drawings. - Evaluate site clearances and propose practical alternate mechanical solutions for site deviations. - Coordinate with the design team for GAD revisions and corrections. - Ensure correct fitment and alignment of various components like car frames, guide rails, and machine beams. - Take accurate site measurements, prepare reports, and provide corrective guidance before installation. - Ensure installation meets quality standards and safety norms, supervising mechanical assemblies and verifying materials. - Communicate mechanical deviations effectively, maintain documentation, and train junior technicians. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong understanding of elevator mechanical systems. - Expertise in reading and correcting GAD drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD. - Good knowledge of shaft geometry, load points, and structural interfaces. - Excellent problem-solving ability, precise measurement skills, and strong communication. - 5-10 years of experience in elevator installation or mechanical design, Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Additional Details: - Prior experience with modern controller-based elevator systems preferred. - Willingness to travel for site coordination when required. - Competitive salary based on experience and technical capability, with additional site allowances and travel reimbursements as per company policy.
