Mechanical Lead

Role & responsibilities

1. Participate in Detail engineering consultant selection process.

2. Review and ensure design of all mechanical (Piping / Static & Rotary equipment) are as per codes and standards. Review and approval of documents & drawings received from consultant / vendor.

3. Participate and guide procurement teams for selecting critical vendors/ suppliers/ service provider like Detail engineering consultant etc.

4. collaborating with projects/ procurement/ and site teams for smooth implementation of capital projects

5. Responsible for encouraging teams towards having the best work culture with the aim of sharing knowledge among teams.

6. Participate in Techno-commercial discussion during procurement of all mechanical equipment.

7. Completes the projects by supervising all mechanical installations and resolving design issues of mechanical equipment.

8. Ensure quality of key mechanical equipment and system as per project standard.

9. Plan for spare and spare items to avoid any delay in project or plant operation.

10. Communicates job expectations, monitoring and reviews job contributions and enforces staff policies and procedures.

11. Ensure work allocation and planning for reporting team.

12. Identify and ensure the implementation of training programs for the development of mechanical team

13. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.

14. Sound understanding in static/ Rotary/ Packages handling to guide your team and Engineering consultant to ensure smooth flow of project within the time schedule.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/ Masters degree in the field of mechanical engineering from reputed institute.
• 15+ years of experience in the Ammonia / Fertilizer / Oil & Gas plant is required. Detail engineering experience from top engineering companies will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with static, mechanical packages and/or rotating equipment specifications and handling of those suppliers while executing project.
• Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase support experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications.
• Must have good understanding of international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures and up to date Best Practices.
• Knowledgeable in safety requirements for major turnaround and maintenance activities.
• Must understand crisis management and ability to calmly manage project issues.
