Mechanical Fitter

Roles / Responsibilities

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical layouts, and assembly instructions.

· Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, cutting, and mounting operations for control panels.

· Assemble enclosures, brackets, bus bars, and other mechanical parts as per design.

· Ensure alignment, proper fitting, and finishing of components before electrical wiring.

· Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machines for fabrication tasks.

· Maintain quality standards by inspecting assemblies for defects and rectifying issues.

· Support electrical fitters and panel wirers during the assembly process.

· Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.

· Report material shortages, assembly issues, or design deviations to the supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge:

· Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fitter trade.

· Experience: 2–4 years of experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in control panel / electrical equipment manufacturing.

· Knowledge of mechanical drawings and fabrication techniques.

· Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, drilling/tapping machines, and measuring instruments.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail, safety-conscious, and quality-focused.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
