Mechanical Fitter cum welder

As a member of the Mechanical Maintenance team, your role involves contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the training and development of apprentices. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing preventative maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturers" recommendations and manuals, with a focus on safety and maximizing production. - Planning, scheduling, and organizing your work within the requirements of the work plan, and coordinating with other parties as necessary. - Completing tasks based on priority and ensuring that assigned trades work is done safely and meets quality requirements, company policies, and statutory regulations. - Initiating and completing Work Orders, ensuring timely sign off, and providing relevant feedback information and reports as needed. - Resolving operational or technical equipment problems promptly to minimize manufacturing interruptions. - Providing immediate responses to emergency work orders and offering troubleshooting expertise as required. - Assessing and arranging job requirements, providing daily feedback and reports on progress to the DH, and recording delays while recommending actions to eliminate future delays. - Committing to the Zero Harm safety philosophy and ensuring that mechanical work is performed in accordance with safety requirements. - Maintaining a safe working environment and actively participating in Safety Tool Box Meetings. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - A Diploma in Mechanical/ ITI Mechanial / Fitter. - 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry. - Experience in the installation, operation, service, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment such as chain, belt & roller conveyor transport systems, saws, compressors, vacuum systems & pumps, water and chemical dosing pumps, evisceration equipment, heat exchangers, gear motors, etc., as required for the Distillery and associated plant services. - Experience in exercising good judgment in appraising difficult situations and making appropriate decisions regarding equipment condition and corrective actions. - Ability to develop Hazard Analysis and risk assessments for assigned jobs.,
