Mechanical Fitter cum welder

In this role, you will work as a member of the Mechanical Maintenance team, contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the training and development of apprentices. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing preventative maintenance of plant and equipment following manufacturers" recommendations to ensure safety and maximize production - Planning, scheduling, and organizing your work within the work plan's requirements, coordinating with other parties as needed - Completing assigned tasks based on priority and ensuring that trades work is done safely and meets quality and statutory requirements - Initiating and completing Work Orders, ensuring timely sign off/close off for completed work with relevant feedback information and other required reports - Resolving operational or technical equipment problems promptly to minimize manufacturing interruptions - Providing immediate responses to emergency work orders and offering troubleshooting expertise as necessary - Assessing and arranging job requirements, providing daily feedback and reports to DH on progress and completed work against schedule, recording delays, and recommending actions to avoid future delays - Demonstrating commitment to the Zero Harm safety philosophy by ensuring mechanical work is performed in accordance with safety requirements and maintaining a safe working environment - Contributing to your own well-being and that of your co-workers, actively participating in Safety Tool Box Meetings Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma in Mechanical/ ITI Mechanial/ Fitter - 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry - Experience in installation, operation, service, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of various plant equipment such as conveyors, saws, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, gear motors, etc., as needed for Distillery and associated plant services - Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating difficult situations and making appropriate decisions regarding equipment condition and corrective action - Proficiency in developing Hazard Analysis and risk assessments for assigned jobs.,
