Mechanical Engineers

As a Mechanical Engineer at Sea Blue Shipyard in Ernakulam, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and executing mechanical works related to shipbuilding and ship repair. Your strong background in either the shipbuilding industry or manufacturing industry will be highly valued in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems on vessels. - Oversee mechanical components such as engines, piping systems, pumps, and auxiliary machinery. - Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure project requirements are met. - Conduct inspections, identify mechanical faults, and recommend corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and class requirements. - Prepare technical documentation, work schedules, and progress reports. - Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project execution. - Support dry dock and refit planning and execution. **Requirements:** - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - 3 to 15 years of experience in the shipbuilding or manufacturing industry. - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and marine equipment. - Ability to read technical drawings and use engineering tools/software. - Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills. - Willingness to work in a shipyard environment with hands-on involvement. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with marine classification societies and regulatory bodies. - Knowledge of CAD tools, maintenance planning, and quality control systems. - Exposure to both new build and repair projects.
