Mechanical Engineering Lead

Position Type:

In this role, you will be working with platform engineering team (Mechanical & Thermal), Hardware Engineers & manufacturing Engineers.

What Youll Do:

The mechanical & thermal team is an integrated part of HW organization, responsible for varieties of complex electro-mechanical designs, which includes but are not limited to central office networking products (product ranges from 1RU to 40RU sizes), outdoor mobility equipment, high performance thermal solutions and complex PCB assemblies.
The job involves reviewing of electro-mechanical packaging designs from a DFX & user-interface point of view.
We are looking for outstanding mechanical engineer with a very keen eye for details and strong hold on quality principles.
You will be responsible for ensuring Quality of each design that is delivered by the team.

Who You Are:

Hands on mechanical design experience in electro-mechanical packaging of standalone and rack mount chassis/ systems used in telecom industries using Pro/e or CREO,
Chassis concept/architecture, establishing optimized printed circuit board (PCB) size(s) and outline, developing sheet-metal enclosures to meet intended performance and cost targets, power shelf and power distribution design
You should have a proven record on enabling process improvements and quality matrix for an industry that works of dynamic design parameters.
Good command on tolerance analysis, structural analysis and DFX concepts.
Thermal simulation & validation experience would be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of manufacturing limitations and workarounds to enable most cost and time effective solutions.
Knowledge on corrosion resistance and best practices related to assembly and combination of dissimilar metals.

Experience:

12+ years of hands-on design experience with BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
