Description
You are a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in static and rotary equipment, looking to join a team in the Oil and Gas industry. With 4-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years of mandatory offshore experience, you will be involved in designing, analyzing, and maintaining mechanical systems in a challenging offshore environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and reviewing design specifications, engineering calculations, and detailed designs for static and rotary equipment. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as performing stress and failure analysis on mechanical components and systems. You will oversee the installation, commissioning, and operation of static and rotary equipment on offshore platforms. Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely project completion. Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues during project execution and operation. Regular inspections and maintenance of static and rotary equipment will be conducted by you to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Implementing predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life, along with preparing and reviewing maintenance procedures, reports, and records. Adhering to safety standards and practices, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations will be a priority. Participating in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. You will also prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design reports, calculations, and equipment specifications, and generate technical reports and presentations for stakeholders. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, 4-8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a focus on static and rotary equipment, and proficiency in engineering software such as CAE tools, AutoCAD, and others. Strong problem-solving skills, understanding of mechanical design principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Preferred skills include experience with design software such as Tekla or equivalent, knowledge of international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO, and familiarity with offshore platform operations and challenges.
