Mechanical Engineer SMP 3 Auxiliary Systems

You will be working as a Mechanical Engineer in the SMP #3 Auxiliary Systems at a steel manufacturing plant located in Hazira, India. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee project assignments within GCP, Gas Holder FES, and Sec. Dedusting areas. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Section Head to ensure the successful management of projects from conceptualization to commissioning and production stabilization, adhering to specified timelines and budgets. Additionally, you will actively engage in similar projects within the organization. To qualify for this position, you must hold a BE/BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess 10-15 years of experience in project management related to Operations & Maintenance (O&M). You should have expertise in SMP Auxiliary Systems, with a strong understanding of areas such as GCP, Gas Holder, FES, and Sec. Dedusting, along with familiarity in at least one more sub-area within SMP. Proficiency in project management and O&M practices is essential, as well as exceptional communication skills, receptiveness to feedback, and the ability to lead by example. As a leader, you should be capable of setting and achieving ambitious targets, possess strategic thinking skills, and demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategies based on project requirements. Innovation will be a key aspect of your role, where you will be expected to exhibit strong creative thinking, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and encourage teams to explore new approaches in response to changing circumstances.
