Mechanical Engineer PM3

As a Maintenance Engineer for a paper manufacturing company in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, your role will involve overseeing the maintenance and repair activities of Paper Machine #3. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of machinery, minimize downtime, and contribute to overall productivity and safety of the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of paper machines and associated equipment. - Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly to minimize production disruptions. - Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and implement necessary corrective actions. - Coordinate with production teams to align maintenance activities with operational schedules. - Analyze equipment performance data to recommend and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability. - Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing inventory costs. - Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspection reports, and machine histories. - Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities. - Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing technical guidance and training as needed. - Collaborate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, upgrades, and procurement. Qualifications Required: - B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. - Proven experience minimum 6 years in maintenance of paper machines. - Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical courses preferred. Additional Details: You must be familiar with Lean Maintenance or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, possess strong knowledge of mechanical systems, Rotary & Stationary equipment, hydraulic systems, and predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, proficiency in using maintenance management systems and related software, strong communication, and team leadership abilities are essential. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial equipment maintenance is also crucial.
