Role Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer at SSOE, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and professional development. You will play a key role in designing HVAC and piping systems for large manufacturing facilities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes. Your work will involve utilizing industry-leading software, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining project design records. Key Responsibilities: - Apply extensive knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles, focusing on HVAC and Piping systems. - Effectively communicate design direction to support staff and coordinate with other disciplines. - Define project scope, organize tasks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. - Prepare detailed HVAC designs, including load calculations, sizing, and layouts. - Utilize software such as Revit and AutoCAD for design work and coordination with other disciplines. - Conduct calculations for heating & cooling loads using HAP/TRACE software. - Coordinate HVAC design models with Architectural, Plumbing, Electrical, and Structural teams. - Stay updated on international building codes, standards, and regulations. - Meet delivery schedules and budgets for multiple projects. - Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Be flexible to work evening hours to communicate with teams in the USA. - Advance in your career by taking on increased responsibilities within projects and the organization. Qualifications: - Full-time bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University. - 1-5 years of experience in designing large manufacturing facilities. - Proficiency in HVAC design software and coordination tools (Revit, Navis). - Knowledge of international building codes, preferably USA codes. - Strong English communication skills. - Willingness to work flexible hours to maintain communication with teams. - Ability to take on increased responsibilities and advance in your career.
